He breaths fire, and took a bellyflop into a lake of lava.
I'd say more of an "earth" type dragon.
Not sure if he will grow wings, but during his greed fueled growth spurt, he never did.
Still, that may be more to do with his unnatural growth spurt.
It was rapid, and he really didn't grow up, as he just grew.
The other teenaged dragons all seemed to find it hilarious that he didn't have wings.
There's a good chance they may only appear at adolescence, and only by means of natural aging.
But yeah, given Spike's affinity for fire... I'd say definitely not a water dragon.
